cleaning and care
hammock
All of our hammocks are made from 100% jacquard cotton and are machine washable at 30 degrees using a mild detergent. Please dry the hammock fabric in the fresh air. Do not tumble dry, this protects the cotton and the environment. After washing, the cotton fabric is best dried lying down. Cotton is easy to iron. It is best to dampen the fabric slightly, then the result is particularly smooth. Make sure not to iron at temperatures higher than 110 degrees, otherwise the natural fiber will be damaged.
Please follow all care instructions on the label.
mattress
The mattress cover is made of natural cotton. The filling is made of pure new wool from northern Germany. After shearing, it was exclusively sorted, gently washed and combed.
In most cases, it is sufficient to let stains on the mattress dry and then shake or brush them out. To remove wrinkles and odors, it is usually sufficient to hang the mattress in the fresh air. Sheep's wool has naturally self-cleaning and even antibacterial properties.
If the mattress is very dirty or wet, you can wash it by hand at a cold temperature using a mild detergent. A gentle machine wash on the wool cycle is possible. Please avoid using bleach completely. It is best to dry the mattress in the fresh air. Please do not tumble dry or iron it, as this can damage the wool.
Info box: Our sheep's wool comes from an old North German breed of sheep that is threatened with extinction. In this way, we are also helping to preserve this special breed of sheep. But that's not all: the wool from these sheep is ideal for our mattress because it doesn't felt or clump when treated properly. This means your baby will always be comfortable.
Wood
All wooden parts of the cradle, such as the spacers, stands or wall brackets, are made of solid wood. It is treated with an organic care oil that is certified for children's toys. And of course it is saliva and food safe. To care for it, it is sufficient to wipe the wooden elements with a dry cloth. If you want, you can rub the wooden parts with a little care oil after a long period of use.
labeling of our products
The labels on our products serve to inform our customers when purchasing and using the items. They are therefore easy to find and firmly and permanently attached to our products. Please do not cut off the labels. In the interest of uniform handling worldwide, the symbols are included in the care label in the usual care sequence of washing, bleaching, drying, ironing and professional textile care. For two- or multi-piece items, each individual part must be labelled with a care label. The washing symbols used on the labels of our products in accordance with ISO 3758 are listed again below and their meaning is described.
